No travel plans for this spring break? Join me in my studio for a virtual cruise through the Indian Ocean. Our trip will begin in Mumbai, India where we'll create batik-like art famous in that region with watercolor and wax. Next, journey beneath the waves as we use watercolor techniques and a sprinkle of salt to create mesmerizing underwater scenes of the coral reefs. As we cruise toward the Maldives, we'll "put on our scuba gear" and let the colorful fish of the region inspire our oil pastel underwater landscapes. The colors of the tropics and it's sunsets will inspire the beadwork we'll do creating jewelry for ourselves or someone special. Finally, we'll each choose an image of our favorite port to create watercolor landscapes. Our thematic week will be an artventure to remember.
