Description

Unleash your imagination and embark on a journey beyond the bounds of gravity! Launch into the wonders of outer space and the celestial bodies above as we examine images from the new Webb telescope. You’ll explore a variety of techniques using perspective and proportion and catapult your creations in a game of Rocket Ship Relay. Employ black light and fluorescent paint on upcycled materials to create a cosmic theater of visual art for the final team challenge! Check out the list of stations to see all the materials that will be available to our young artists. The possibilities are limitless in this stellar camp adventure! Weekly Schedule: 9:00-9:30 Morning meet-up with team mentor and age-level friends 9:30-10:30 Stations/skill builders and idea makers 10:30 Snacks and Games 10:45-11:30 Open Studio to Play/Experiment/Make 11:30-12:30 Lunch (bagged from home) and recess/games/free time 12:30--1:30 Stations/skill builders and idea makers 1:30-1:45 Breaks and Games 1:45-2:45 Open Studio to Play/Experiment/Make 2:45-3:00 Clean-up and prepare for departure 3:00-5:00 Aftercare for those who pre-register Fridays will be a culminating activity to share what’s been created.
